It's officially THANKSGIVING! :) Happy Thanksgving all!
It's 2:20 am and I have finished the night before prep for Thanksgiving. Phew! Yes, I am making dinner for turkey day. No Deadliest Catch Thanksgiving this year. Did I tell you that about 2 weeks after last year's thanksgiving, I met Captain Keith from "The Wizard" in New Orleans at one of my work trips? It was pretty funny, I just finished riding a mechnanical bull in one of the bourbon street bars, and there was Captain Keith at the bar. At first he denied being Captain Keith, but then I said, "No, you don't understand, my husband and I had a Deadliest Catch Thanksgiving and we bought Ninety Dollars worth of King Crab!" He then held up his hand and gave me a huge high five! I was IN! We later took a picture with him holding me up in the air... which I thought was really cool and sent to Nick in a picture message, which at that point I realized was not too cool to Nick! Haha! OOPS! :) I can't help that people like me! ;)
I've been thinking a lot about what I am grateful for and I am grateful for A LOT in my life. I must praise God. He provides for me and takes care of me. It's so comforting.(If you would like to read why I believe in God, look under February's blog, "Last Days of Being Twenty").
I've also been thinking a lot about my Grandma Phine. She passed away November 20th 2 years ago. I miss her so much. She was my female role model. She is an amazing soul. I love you and miss you Jo, grandma, gramcracker. I love you!
What a fun experience about meeting the guy! We had a great Thanksgiving with family as well!
